It's strange isn't it, that knitting, like sewing, is mostly perceived as a women's activity.

Yet, like the fashion industry, men are often leading the way in design.

One of the most inspirational knitwear designers was Kaffe Fassett. His 70s patterns created knitted garments worthy of a gallery. Fashion royalty wore Kaffe's garments with pride and dedicated knitters now valiantly aspire to recreate his complex works.

Jared Flood, is a textile and knitwear designer and founder of the hugely popular Brooklyn Tweed. Jared has drawn from a muted country style palette and created knitwear that is highly fashionable and wearable. His garments have a tactile and comforting appeal.

Stephen West is a knitwear enthusiast with a fanatical following. His bright mash up of styles and colours produce exciting and inspiring knitwear creations. He seems to have a blatant disregard for convention and thereby creating the most crazy and intriguing knitted products.
